The hostel was clean. We reached the hostel late as our train got delayed. When we reached the hostel the owner had placed the key in our room with a specific information which was very heart-warming. The room provided to us was spacious and clean. But on the last day our room got locked 🔒. The room had the option to lock the door from inside and pull the door and lock it. We thought that the key provided to us was for that room. But the key was for the front door. That day as it was our last stay in korea we came in late. And was not able to open the door. There was no one to ask for to open the door. As there the reception timing was 10 am till 11pm.. So i messaged the owner on the booking.com app. The responding was lil late which i did understand that it was already 1 am. Then we went downstairs in search of any human who would help us to open the door. But there was none. My sister tried knocking the staff only door.but no one responded.. When my sister opened the staff only door. Then one lady came out from the other side and responded angrily saying that she can call the police for trying to open the staff only door. She didn't try to listen the fact that our room door was locked and we had our morning flight. After intimidating for 15 mins for knocking and opening the staff door she came to our room angrily and tried opening the door. Without checking what's the problem with the door she again blamed saying we broke the door.😒😩 Which was not the case as the door was locked from inside. She opened the door and went back angrily.. The hostel was good.. Technologically efficient.. But if one gets in problem who is going to help.. The problem doesn't come in announcing..the problem comes out of blue... That time who is going to help the guest staying there.. I felt that during such issue, we as a guest will be left helpless 😣.. All in all it was a very good stay in the hostel..

The owner/staff are very responsive to all of my inquiries before I arrived. Even though she couldn't speak English that well, Google Translate will be enough to help. I arrived earlier than my check-in time, and they allowed me to leave my stuffs for me to go somewhere else first. Then, they even put my stuffs in my room upon the check-in time. The check-in was a breeze and when I got into my room, I was so happy that the room basically exceeded my expectations. I can say that the room was comfortable, cozy, and worth the money paid. It has all the basic necessities and if you don't have it in the room, you can always go to the front desk and ask for it. The guest house is very accessible by bus. There are a number of buses that pass by right in front of the guest house and also at the main junction that is 5-10 minutes walk away from it. However, the nearest train station could be a little bit far (more walk) from the guest house. I have been using the bus for 90% of my transportation mode for this trip, which I found very easy and fun! There are also many shops, cafes, restaurants, and a CU Mart nearby the guest house! The guest house prepare a simple breakfast for the guests and I love this part of the day because I can meet many other guests from all over the world and have a or listen to their conversation, and exchange our experiences and stories. They also have a laundry service at an extra fee, but I happened to come across a coin laundry nearby (although I haven't try it yet), so I think the facilities there are complete and enough at a very reasonable price. This was one of my best stay in Seoul so far among all of my trips here! I think Kimstay 9 Guest House has become another favourite accommodation in Seoul to me!

Moving Around: Location is a bit far from proper Seoul, but moving around is easy. 1. Bus Stop to Seoul is a stone throw away 2. Subway Line 5 is nearby with approximately 10 minutes walk 3. Plenty of restaurants and convenience store just around the corner 4. Nambu Market is 3 minutes walk 5. A lot of ATMs nearby (If you are Malaysian, Woori bank is near Mok Dong Station, and KB bank is near Kkachisan Station) 6. Two Daiso Store nearby (Store similar to Malaysia's MR.DIY) 7. This area is a "local" area, hence less tourists around 8. Going to Incheon airport is using line 5 (Mok Dong or Kkachisan), transfer to AREX at Gimpo airport.. usually less crowded noon time. costs more or less 5000 won using T money Guesthouse: 1. Owner is helpful and cheerful, albeit she avoid getting too much interaction with the tenants (maybe due to language barrier?) 2. General etiquette applies here.. no smoking in the building and clean up after yourselves..don't make too much noise. 3. laundry service is provided, but there is also a laundry shop (with a massage chair inside) nearby. (No need to bring so much clothes)

1. Walking distance from several bus stops especially to the airport bus stop, and to Mokdong station as well 2. The lady is very nice and we became friends (she makes effort to communicate with you even if she does not speak english very well) 3. The breakfast is okay (bread with toaster, strawberry jam, cereal, milk, coffee, and juice) 4. The place is really cute and also clean, and there were a lot of cartoonish reminders on the walls 5. There is the Nambu Market (wet and dry) at the back which you must really visit for cheap stuffs 6. Many restaurants and eateries, salon, and a convenience store in the neighborhood 7. Soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash; complementary bottled water refillable through water dispenser

This Homestay is exceptional value for money. Room comes with a private bathroom and shower, air-con, a fridge and there’s a communal microwave and jug for eating after hours. The breakfast has all the basics too of bread, cereal, coffee and juice and towels are provided that you can replace daily (note that towels are small like gym towels, so bring your own if you’d like bigger). Location is awesome, close to train stations and bus routes, convenience stores, many eating options and markets behind Kimstay that you can check out too. Overall an amazing Guest-stay with friendly owners - would recommend for anyone wanting the necessities of a hotel at a fraction of the price 😊 Thank you KIMSTAY 9 🙌🏾🔥
